Prime Line is newly established in mini cattle but have been raising and breeding angus cattle for decades. These minis have grown in popularity and we see why. We currently have Ash our 2 year old heifer that will be flushed on January 2, 2026. Cranberry a 1year old red micro mini polled heifer that won't go on program for a few months. And finally our new gentleman caller, S'More a highpark bull calf that we will collect semen on and use as a select sire in our breeding program.

Embryo Transfer Veterinarian
Andres was born and raised in the heart of a commercial and pure-bred Angus cattle operation in Chihuahua, Mexico. From a young age he worked with the family's cattle which aspired him to be a veterinarian. He saw that there would be a need in the future for producing quality cattle to meet the exponential population growth of the world.
After attending veterinary school in Mexico, Andres moved to Canada and earned his Master's Degree in Veterinary Science, specializing in Theriogenology (bovine reproduction) from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. After completing his studies and graduating he went on to teach Theriogenology for a few years at the college. He then moved to Airdrie in 2003 and has been working as an Embryo Transfer Veterinarian while managing his small herd of purebred registered cattle.
Andres is a Certified member of the Canadian Embryo Transfer Association where he served as a board director from 2016 - 2022. He is very passionate about providing services that will help to increase his clients' herd productivity and value. Producers can depend on him and his team to optimize their most valuable cows by generating more embryos and pregnancies that will extend the impact of outstanding cattle genetics.
Andres is also the owner of Bova-Tech since 2012 and is proud to lead his team with extensive experience in the field of embryo transfer. He is well versed in the growing and changing needs of the cattle industry and prides himself in ensuring the highest level of customer service while producing top quality embryos.
Lisa Hodges
Facility Manager
As a key member of Prime Line Miniature Cattle Company, Lisa brings a wealth of experience in miniature cattle care, embryo production, international sales and semen production. Her role involves providing expert insights, developing strategic solutions, and supporting clients in optimizing their miniature cattle needs. Her knowledge and dedication help us stand out in the industry.
Lisa also brings years of financial and business management experience to Prime Line Miniature Cattle Company. She also is a valuable part of the Bova-Tech team since 2019 where her role is managing the Bova-Tech facility, caring for and synchronizing cattle and being the central hub while the rest of the team is in the clinic or on-farm performing bovine reproductive services.
Lisa is an integral part of Bova-Tech International Embryo Sales and Marketing division while designing websites, mating sheets and social media sites and brings that knowledge to Prime Line. She assists with Conventional Embryo Collections, Ovum Pickup for IVF and semen collection, artificial insemination and embryo implants along side of Dr. Arteaga.
